Performer Prompter is a recording-first teleprompter. The take you record is yours — it is captured and stays in your browser. We have no way to see it, copy it, or send it anywhere.
What we store
To sync your work across devices when you sign in, we store:
- Your account email — used to sign you in and tie your scripts to your account. Sign-in is handled by StaffySoft Core.
- Your script text — the lyrics and notes you type or paste into the editor, so they're there next time.
- Songlist metadata — the names of your setlists and the order of scripts within them.
- Anonymous usage events — coarse, aggregate signals such as “a recording was started” or “a recording failed,” along with a rough browser/device class. These carry no script text, no account identifier, and no raw device labels.
What we don't store
We never collect, upload, or retain:
- Your video — it is recorded and held locally in your browser and never reaches our servers.
- Your audio — captured as part of the recording on your device only.
- Microphone or camera streams — the live feed used while you record is processed in the browser and is never sent to us.
Third parties
- StaffySoft Core — handles sign-in and stores your account email, scripts, and songlists on our behalf.
- Sentry — error monitoring. If something crashes we receive a diagnostic report so we can fix it. Script and lyric text and personal data are scrubbed out of these reports before they are sent, and we don't attach IP addresses or cookies.
- PostHog — product analytics. We send anonymous funnel events (such as “a recording was downloaded”) tied to an opaque session or account id, alongside a coarse browser/device class. These never carry your script text, lyrics, audio, video, or email — they are scrubbed out before the event leaves our server.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and everything stored with it at any time. Email feedback@staffysoft.com and we'll take care of it.
